What are Yoni Eggs?

Yoni egg, jade egg, or love egg – are names for a beautiful semiprecious stone carved into an egg shape and polished to be worn inside the vagina.

It is estimated that women have been practicing with stone eggs for over 5,000 years. Empresses and concubines of the Royal Palace of China used eggs carved out of jade to access sexual power, awaken sensuality and maintain amazing health into their old age. Up until recently, this ancient, secret practice was only available to members of the royal family, and to select Taoist practitioners.

“Yoni” is a Sanskrit word for the female genitalia that means “sacred space.” Its symbol has been worshiped in Eastern cultures since ancient times for bestowing life, creativity and love. We will be using the term “yoni” to bring appreciation and acknowledgment – so often lacking in Western culture – to the creative power this magical part of the female body holds.

Below are a few of many benefits that you may experience if you practice with a Yoni Egg regularly:

  • Increase libido and awaken your sensuality.
  • Increase natural lubrication at any age!
  • Develop an intimate and loving relationship with your yoni, your entire body, and ultimately yourself.
  • Increase sensitivity during intercourse.
  • Become much more orgasmic.
  • Some moms use yoni eggs to assist in after birth recovery.
  • Gain control over the vaginal muscles and rock your lover’s world.
  • Enhance your Tantra, Qigong, and yoga practice.
  • Some women that use yoni eggs report a reduction of PMS symptoms, menstrual cramps and the duration of the menses.
  • Improve overall health and well-being.

The Yoni Egg isn’t just an exquisite accessory that will add charm to your nightstand. It isn’t just a great tool for kegel exercises or a way to maintain health and well being, have better orgasms and more fulfilling sex. The Yoni Egg is an ancient, sacred tool for spiritual transformation. Each crystal has unique properties that can affect your body in many different ways.

Let’s Take a Deeper Look at Why Practicing with a Yoni Egg Produces such Profound Effects.

The pelvic floor is a large group of muscles that form a “basket” or a diaphragm which supports all of our internal organs. In eastern practices like Yoga, Tai Chi, Qigong, and belly dancing, there is a big emphasis put on pelvic floor exercises. It is said that life force, prana, or chi can leak through the pelvic floor and be lost if those muscles are weak. This life force energy is essential for maintaining high energy levels and longevity.

In the modern world of desk jobs, we sit still for long periods of time, and at best work out at the gym a few times a week. Most of us pretty much never engage the pelvic floor muscles. This leads to reproductive health problems, painful menses, loss of sensitivity and sensation, and overall low energy levels. In fact, the main culprit of reproductive illness is lack of blood flow to this area of the body. Plus, most of us are in our heads 24/7, and are largely disconnected from our bodies…especially the parts below the belt.

Heal Your Body and Awaken Sensuality.

Many women in our culture have trouble experiencing orgasms. The main reason for this is a disconnection from the body, and especially from “down there.” Due to trauma, negative emotions stored in the tissue, growing up in a sexually oppressive culture, perceived or real abandonment, or simple lack of exercise and attention, many women’s genitals become numb, weak and dry. The sexual organs of most women really need some loving attention!

When you practice with a Yoni Egg, you engage the muscles of the vagina and the pelvic floor and bring awareness to your sexual organs. Your brain starts to create new neuron connections correlated with these areas of the body. New nerve endings form directly in the tissue, which in turn increase sensitivity.

Ask your gym coach and they’ll tell you that the more you train a muscle, the more nerve endings it develops. Guess what this means for your sensuality and sex life?

Yoni Egg practice stimulates the Bartholin glands inside the vagina that is responsible for producing natural lubrication. One of the first effects women notice is increased juiciness. This is especially important for post-menopausal women.

The Yoni Egg is an amazing tool for helping restore the elasticity and suppleness of our sexual organs to their pre-childbirth state, and even surpassing it. Do not wait until you give birth to start the practice – there are Yoni Egg exercises specifically designed to prepare women for childbirth.

Become Much More Orgasmic.

Did you know that there are multiple sets of muscles in your pelvis that you can learn to differentiate and control independently? Developing dexterity with these muscles can create more pleasure for both you and your partner and, without doubt, will increase intimacy during lovemaking. Be prepared for more fulfilling sex to add excitement, passion, and closeness in your relationship.

Did you know that women can experience many different kinds of orgasms? Among them are vaginal, cervical and uterine orgasms. Practicing with your Yoni Egg can awaken your body and mind to make these life-changing experiences possible.

The pelvic floor muscles, unlike other muscles in the body, have the ability to regenerate and repair themselves in a short period of time. You can achieve any level of dexterity at any age, limited only by your desire and dedication.

Release Trauma Stored in the Body.

Many psychological traumas are stored in the body and a large percentage in the yoni. We are not just talking about sexual trauma. The yoni, as one of the most essential parts of our being, naturally stores emotional and energetic imprints we pick up in our lives. It makes sense to work with trauma directly at the source, in the body tissue where it is stored. Releasing the patterns of tension in the tissue can help release trauma and remove psychological blockages, which can be tremendously more effective than just talking about them. This is why working with your egg has the power to help you heal old wounds and awaken the life and love you truly desire.

If you notice stirring emotions when you work with your egg, remember to be gentle with yourself. Go slow. Consider taking a break to journal, rest, or spend time in nature.

Yoni Egg Practice Creates Positive Effects that Go Beyond Sexual Wellness.

Inside the vagina, there are many reflexology points, just like the ones on the palms of our hands. They correspond with the internal organs – heart, liver, kidneys, spleen, etc. When you wear your egg you are massaging these reflexology points in a similar way to acupuncture, stimulating and rejuvenating the organs of your entire body. It has been noted that women who enjoy sex into old age tend to look younger

Practicing with an egg increases blood flow to your pelvic organs and helps move stagnant energy. Some women report stimulating the ovaries in this gentle way has assisted in balancing their hormone levels and reducing PMS and menstrual cramps. If you practice with Nephrite Jade egg, rose quartz egg, or black obsidian egg, you will also benefit from your stone’s specific healing properties.

Reclaim your Feminine Power.

Your yoni and womb are amazing, magical places capable of bestowing new life, creating new ideas and visions, and providing you with amazing erotic experiences. By connecting to your yoni and your womb, the very center of your being, you can start accessing your feminine power and creative potential.

How to Practice With a Yoni Egg?

Simple kegel exercises are the foundation of the Yoni Egg practice. Doing Kegels is already great. Doing them with a Yoni Egg is like doing curls with a dumbbell instead of just flexing your biceps.

As you become more advanced, you can learn to manipulate the egg by moving different muscle groups inside your yoni! This is usually referred to as Pompoir or “Vaginal Kung Fu.” How do you like that?

Note: As with every exercise routine, regular practice is much better than sporadic practice. Sporadic practice is better than no practice at all. Practicing with intention and enjoyment, as opposed to just going through the mechanical motions, will make a world of difference. The best thing you can do when practicing with your Yoni Egg makes it into a ritual of self-love and self-care. Set aside some time that’s just for you and start with a gentle breast massage. The more love you give to yourself and your body, the more love you will have to share with others.

Included with your Yoni Egg order is a printed practice guide and a complimentary link to a web page with in-depth instructions for Yoni Egg practices and exercises.

Sleeping with the egg is another way you can ease into your routine and start benefiting from its properties. Your yoni will play with the egg and the crystal will do its healing work while you rest.

Note: While practicing yoni egg exercises it is important to remember to focus on relaxation after contraction, melting and relaxing your pelvic floor. The goal is to increase suppleness while developing muscle strength. Think about it being similar to yoga, which involves a combination of straining and stretching, tension and relaxation.

Add a New Dimension to your Favorite Activities.

The Yoni Egg can be an enhancement to your favorite practices and activities. Once you feel confident in your ability to hold the egg, you can Meditate or attend Yoga, Qigong, belly dance or Pilates class with it, or even go on a bike ride or a hike. The egg will engage muscles that would usually stay dormant during these activities, strengthening your yoni and bringing you new sensations and awareness. Just try to remember the presence of your the Yoni Egg. Sneezing, laughing or coughing can force it to pop out, so be ready to “catch it” with your muscles.

What Type of Crystal Should I Start With?

You can find Yoni Eggs made of many types of exotic crystals online. Keep in mind that not every crystal is safe to be worn inside the yoni, especially for prolonged periods of time. Even if something is available for sale online as a Yoni Egg, it is not a guarantee that this particular type of stone is 100% safe to be worn internally. It is always a good idea to do your own research. In traditional Taoist practices, practitioners use three types of crystal eggs: Nephrite jade yoni egg, Rose quartz yoni egg and Black obsidian yoni egg. These semiprecious stones have been used for thousands of years and their safety is time-tested.

Unlike many other kegel weights, Yoni Eggs are made from semiprecious stones and are completely natural and free of artificial chemicals.

Nephrite Jade is considered the best stone for basic Yoni Egg wear and practice. Nephrite jade is also the suggested stone for beginners, for a number of reasons. When you look at the facts, it’s no surprise that the Empresses and concubines of the Royal Palace of China favored the Jade Egg over other gemstone eggs. Genuine nephrite jade is a very hard, smooth and nonporous semiprecious stone. It is nearly impossible to break or crack if you ever accidentally drop it; it has a high thermal conductivity; it can be easily cleaned and disinfected by boiling it in water, and it’s a perfect weight to be used as a kegel exercise aid. With proper care, your Jade Egg is like a diamond ring – buy it once and wear it for life.

yoni eggs

Nephrite Jade is also known to be the best stone for helping to heal the female reproductive system and balance hormones. It is a very gentle and protective stone that shields the owner from external unwanted energy while working on healing any past traumas or energetic build-up. Where other crystals might stir up emotions as they do healing work, which could become overwhelming at times, the jade egg works softly and promotes a sense of well-being.

That being said, choosing a Yoni Egg is a very personal decision, and I truly believe that every woman intuitively knows which stone is right for her. One of the main reasons to practice with a Yoni Egg is to get more in touch with your own beautiful body, and ultimately with yourself… That means learning to trust your intuition.

You can find more information about choosing your first Yoni Egg here.

Please keep in mind that most jade sold on the market is fake, chemically altered, or made out of pressed stone chip. Always look for certified solid nephrite jade when shopping for Jade Eggs to assure the best quality and safety for your health.

Never use a crystal from a crystal shop that is not specifically sold as a Yoni Egg. Harsh chemicals, dyes and artificial fillers are used during the manufacturing process of most decorative crystals sold on the market.

For more information please check out our Yoni Egg FAQ section.

Natural gemstones possess healing qualities you can start taking advantage of for your physical, emotional, mental and energetic well-being.

Royal Palace dwellers knew this, thousands of years ago. Through Jade Egg practice, they were able to reclaim their feminine power, fully step into their sensual self, and awaken creativity, all while keeping their sexual organs healthy, youthful and resilient.

I’m already experiencing prolapse. Is it too late to reverse the damage? I’m getting nervous that I may need surgery [which obviously I don’t want] I’m 52 and have 2 kids and had a hysterectomy at age 40.

Hi JC! Thank you for sharing your story!
From what I know about prolapse it may be reversible with physical exercises, including exercises with yoni eggs. However, I strongly advise you do not attempt exercises with a yoni egg or any kind of pelvic floor exercises on your own, because there is a possibility to strengthen the wrong muscles that can make the condition worse. I would encourage you to find a pelvic specialist in your area who can work with you on creating exercise program tailored to your body and situation. They will be able to tell you if yoni egg practices are appropriate for you at this moment.
Good luck, sending you so much love!

      Hi She She,

This may mean that you have not yet built up the dexterity of your yoni. I just want to let you know that it’s very common and is perfectly ok. Regular practice will help with this! You can start by practicing laying down or sitting up until you gain more muscle control. You may also want to consider starting with one of our large eggs, and then moving down to the medium egg as your practice progresses. Please let me know if you have any questions about this.

I have had a hysterectomy. What keeps the egg from floating up into that empty space?

    Reply
    • yoni eggs

      Hi Kym,

In women who had their uterus removed and still have the cervix, it prevents the egg from going floating up past the vaginal canal. If a woman had her cervix removed, the surgeon sews together the tissue to make sure the vaginal cavity is enclosed. It should be fine to use a yoni egg, but as with any preexisting condition we advise women to check with their doula, pelvic specialist or doctor to make sure it’s safe. It is necessary to wait sufficient amount of time after the surgery to allow the body to heal.

When it comes to sexual organs even when the physical organ is removed, the energetic organ is still there.

      Thank you!

          Jazz,

We recommend you do not wear the yoni egg while pregnant because the yoni egg practice circulates the energy of the yoni and womb throughout the entire body. While you are pregnant, it is important to keep the energy centralized to the womb. The yoni egg practice is wonderful for post-partum mothers however!

This may seem silly, but how to you keep it from going in too far? Can they get stuck up there?

    Reply
    • yoni eggs

Hi Swan, it’s a great question and it is a common concern! Vaginal cavity is an enclosed space, and the egg cannot travel past the cervix, so the eggs cannot “get lost”.
However some women unconsciously tense their pelvic floor, and in this case the egg can take longer to come out after the practice is done. If this happens, it’s also nothing to worry about as once the muscles relax it will come out. Women’s bodies are designed to push and you can actually learn to expel the egg by command by engaging pelvic muscles and pushing gently.
Worst case you can always jump up and down and let the gravity help.
I encourage ladies that do not feel comfortable with possibility of this happening to opt out for a drilled egg – it gives you an option to put a string through the drilled hole and take the egg out by gently pulling on the string.

          Hi Dee,

Thank you for sharing a bit about your process. That is wonderful that you are feeling ready to embark on your journey of self love and awakening! If you are only going to get one egg, I would recommend a medium sized jade egg, which you can find on our website here:https://yoniegg.com/product/jade-egg-the-queen/

This is the traditional stone and size for the yoni egg practice. The experts in the field believe a jade yoni egg of this size can carry most women through a lifelong yoni egg practice.

If you are feeling called to have different stones and sizes available to experiment with, the Goddess set of three eggs is the way to go. You can find the set on our website here: https://yoniegg.com/product/set-of-3-yoni-eggs/

Hi Debby! Thank you for your question! We generally recommend you check with your Douala or pelvic specialist before beginning the yoni egg practice only if you have any medical issues such as prolapse or fibroids. In these cases, it is important to make sure the exercises you do with the yoni egg are not further damaging to your pre-existing condition. However, if you have no medical issues, I see no reason a yoni egg practice would be harmful. I believe using a yoni egg could really help you! Please let me know if there are any other questions that come up.

Thank you for your question. Whether or not you feel the egg inside you depends on your body and also the size you choose. Some women can actively feel the egg while they wear it, others do not. We recommend the medium size for most women, and we do not get any reports that the egg is too heavy or uncomfortable.

      Hi Ashley,

Thank you for your message. That is wonderful that you are feeling ready for a yoni egg! If you have just given birth, I recommend you start with a large size egg. We have jade, rose quartz and obsidian eggs available in the large size. Obsidian is a very intense stone. It is volcanic glass, and it is known for bringing old energies and traumas to the surface to be cleansed and released. If you are just starting, I would suggest a large jade egg. Jade is the traditional stone used in the yoni egg practice, and the best place to start. That said, if your intuition is telling you to start with the obsidian, I would go with that, as a big part of this practice is listening to the wisdom of your body. We also offer sets of three, one jade, one obsidian and one rose quartz, if you would like to experiment with all the stones. Please let me know if there are any other questions I can help with.

    Hi,

I feel silly and embarrassed sharing this but with my developmental and medical history I was excited to try this but had trouble inserting it then got scared I’d have trouble removing it…dryness is part of my issue and while I could try a lubricant to help with insertion my hope was that this would help me develop my own lubrication, etc. Do you hear of women having this difficulty, and if so, what advice might you offer to help w/ this and to feel more secure about it? I did not order a drilled egg so I inadvertently omitted the option for the string unfortunately.

    Thank you

      Bridget,

Thank you for your great question! There is absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about, as this is just part of the process of beginning your yoni egg practice. Many women have reported to us that doing a regular yoni egg practice has increased their natural lubrication, but it does take some practice to get there, so it’s totally ok that you are dry at first. To remove the egg without a string, we recommend you use a lubricant of your choice, or coconut oil. The most important part of removing the egg is to consciously relax the muscles of the pelvic floor. If you are having trouble relaxing, a great trick is to relax your jaw muscles. The muscles in your jaw are connected to the yoni, so if you can relax your jaw, your yoni will also relax. So, squat, relax as best you can, and add lubricant. You should be able to hook the egg with a lubricated finger and it will come right out. If you are still having issues removing the egg, try exercising, going for a run or jumping on your bed, they will help get the egg loose. Please let me know if you are still having trouble. Thank You!

      Hi Mandy,

Thank you for your great questions. I would recommend a medium sized jade egg for you. Jade is the stone that was traditionally used by the Empresses and Geishas in ancient China when they did the yoni egg practice. The experts in the field believe that a medium jade egg (approximately 30mm x 43mm) can carry you through a lifelong practice. For some women who have given birth vaginally, they feel more comfortable starting with the large sized egg, and then moving down to the medium once they have built up dexterity. If you are only going to get one egg, I would suggest a medium jade, but if you are feeling as if you would like to have the option to try different sizes and stones, our Goddess set of three would be wonderful, as it comes with three different sizes, and the option of having three different stones, jade, rose quartz and obsidian.

Thank you for reaching out. I am not able to give medical advice, so please check with your doctor about this. As far as my understanding goes, a yoni egg should not interfere with something that is in your fallopian tubes, and the yoni egg sits in the vaginal canal. Because I am not a doctor, I cannot say for sure, so please make sure you check with a medical provider before trying a yoni egg. I wouldn’t want your birth control to be rendered ineffective.

Please let me know if there are any other questions I can help with.

    Hi,
I ordered from you guys over a year ago and only just plucked up the courage to use the Yoni egg!
So far i’ve used the egg at night and left it in to sleep. I’ve started with the Obsidian egg (because I have been on my spiritual journey for a long while and noticed an imbalance with my root and sacral chakra and obsidian is great at bringing emotions to the surface), however I’ve noticed that I feel a little bit nauseous with the egg inside me. Is that normal? I’m assuming that its energy trying to be released but I have no clue what to do next to release it! Pleaseif you have any advice it would be much appreciated. Thank you x

      Same,

That is wonderful that you have begun your practice! Many women have reported to us intense energies and physical feelings coming up from using the obsidian egg. This is most likely stuck energy releasing, but if you are concerned, please check with your doctor. A good practice to do while wearing the yoni egg and especially if energies are coming up that you need to process and release is to bring your awareness and consciousness first into your yoni, and then into the feeling you are experiencing. I like to still my mind, bring my attention to my yoni, sit in stillness feeling the energy of the yoni and witnessing any emotions that come up. With practice you will be able to feel the infinite creative potential and power within the yoni. Once you are in touch with the energy of the yoni, you can try to bring the energy up into the area that is having pain. Cleanse the pain with the light frequency of the yoni, allow the healing energy to engulf it and transmute it. Another good thing to do is to bring your attention directly to the pain, do not shy away from it, but go into it deeply, sit in the burn and witness whatever it is that comes up. You can also try breathing into the area and bringing your breathe through it. If you are able to witness what is there, feel it deeply and accept it, then you will likely be able to release it easily.

If you do feel this is something more than stuck energy coming up, please do check with your doctor.

Let me know if there are any other questions, I am always here to help.

Had four abdominal surgeries and as a result I feel my pelvic floor is not stronger and is a lot looser down there along with the opening to my secret place has loosed also. I feel like the consecutive surgeries contribute to it. Will this help

We have had women who have gone through pelvic surgeries report to us that practicing regularly with a yoni egg has helped them build dexterity in the pelvic floor. I cannot speak to your unique situation, so please make sure you check with your doctor first.

    Hi,
I have a IUD and I was wondering if you’ve had customers who’ve used the Yoni egg before with an IUD and if it’s safe to do so?

      Hi Kayla, ‘

This is a great question. We recommend women with IUDs do not use yoni eggs only because there is no medical research on yoni eggs and IUDs. We cannot suggest it because we do not know *for sure* that it is ok to use them together. I am not able to give medical advice, so please check with your doctor or specialist before using a yoni egg.

That said, I know many women, including myself who have an IUD and a successful yoni egg practice with no issues. I have spoken to several midwives who have stated to me that the egg cannot knock the IUD out of place because of where the IUD sits in the uterus. The IUD sits near the top of the uterus, and the egg sits in the center of the vaginal canal. So according to them, it is incredibly unlikely that the egg would affect the IUD. Again, this is just what I have heard from the specialists I have spoken with, it’s important you speak with your own doctor, as I am not qualified to give medical advice.

The one concern to definitely be aware of is that if you have a drilled egg, to make sure you don’t use it with any strings, as the strings from the egg could get caught in the IUD strings, and pull it out.

Using a yoni egg with an IUD is at your discretion, and do please speak with your doctor first.

Please let me know if there are any other questions I can help with.

      Cynthia,

It is safe to use a yoni egg if you have had a hysterectomy, but I cannot speak to whether it is safe to use a yoni egg with a bladder sling. Please check with your doctor about this. You can let them know that you are wanting to do kegel exercises with a stone egg that is approximately 30mm x 43mm.

Please let me know if any other questions come up.

    Hello,
I am looking into this, but more to vaginismus due to menopause from ovarian failure. The ovarian failure was due to infection and trauma due to a botched endometrial biopsy 3 years ago. Basically the gyn stabbed my cervix and caused it to bleed fresh blood for 70 days. Got sepsis.
My hole has tightened and a penis cannot get in anymore. I only hear women talking about other things here. I seem to have the opposite problem. Although your website talks about my problem with vaginal tightening and dryness…etc….

      Mary,

Thank you for your comment, and thank you for sharing a bit about your process. We have had many women report to us that practicing regularly with a yoni egg has helped increase natural lubrication and has also helped women consciously relax the muscles of the pelvic floor. So this could be beneficial for you.

I am not able to give medical advice, so please check with your doctor or specialist before beginning the yoni egg practice to make sure it’s a good idea for you.

      Erica,

Great questions! For you I would recommend a medium sized jade egg, which you can find on our website here: https://yoniegg.com/product/jade-egg-the-queen/

You can wear the egg during sex, but to get the most benefit from the exercises, we recommend you do the practices while you are not having sex. We do offer wholesale pricing for clients whose businesses are in line with our mission, if you are interested please send me a direct email at care@yoniegg.com

      Timea,

Thank you for your question! I am not able to give medical advice, so please speak with your doctor or specialist about this. Many women have reported to us that they feel more balanced emotionally and hormonally from practicing regularly with a yoni egg, and while jade is the traditional stone, and definitely the most popular, we have received these reports from women practicing with the other stones as well.

    Dear Shoshana,

Lifelong fan, first time writer. I had a quick question about the yoni egg – do you sell a size (perhaps not listed on the website for reasons of discretion) that might be a snug fit in a gaping vagina? Unlike some of the other gals here, I am not experiencing tightness – quite the opposite. I am looking for an egg that is at minimum 10 inches in diameter. Think of it as a reverse birth, if I had conceived a child with an egg man and decided, after birthing our child, to simply put it back. The doctors have no explanation for my gaping width, so please do not recommend I speak with one, as I have seen you recommend to countless other women. I too want to put an egg in my yoni. Currently it is as though I am throwing an egg down a vast hallway. Please help. Love, Ilana

      Hi Llana,

It’s great to hear from you! We do offer a large sized egg, but it is nowhere near 10 inches in diameter. It is 40mm X 50mm. I have never seen an egg of the size you are describing anywhere. Thank you for telling me a bit more about your situation. I want to offer to you that the yoni egg practice, no matter what width your vagina is, is never about the egg “feeling tight” inside the vaginal canal. In fact, It is quite normal and expected that you do not actively feel the egg at all while it is inside you. Many women believe a yoni egg is about inserting the egg, and then walking around and doing their daily activities, but actually to get real benefit from the yoni egg practice, it is best for you to laying down and consciously focusing on the exercises. It therefore does not matter if the egg falls out while you are standing, because it’s preferred that you use the egg while laying down. Even if you do not feel the egg inside you, by doing the exercises and being present and loving with yourself while you do them, you will receive great benefit. Please let me know if you are having trouble finding our large sized eggs on the site. You can send me a direct email at care@yoniegg.com, and I can help you find an egg you will love.

        Hi Shoshana,

So sorry I didn’t see your kind message until now. Thank you for your support of my gargantuan yoni. Have you ever considered making custom-sized yoni eggs, for some of your customers who are on the larger side in the basement area? My vagina is big-boned. Also, do you guys have a product that will help an upsettingly dry vagina? The dryness of my yoni is keeping the eggs inside for longer than I want – I said eggs plural because I have been seeking a snug fit and pursuing it with the use of multiple eggs at once. Does Gwyneth recommend this practice? I wish you a happy St. Patrick’s Day.

        Love,

          Llana,

I am so happy to help! We are not able to make custom sized yoni eggs at this time, and the reason we do not do custom sizes is because the three sizes of eggs we offer are the ideal spectrum for the yoni egg practice. I know you are wanting a “snug fit,” and perhaps there are some erotic toys that could meet this desire, but for the yoni egg practice, we are really not going for a snug fit, and no matter how wide your vaginal canal is, you can still practice with a regular sized egg while laying down without the egg falling out. We have had customers with wider vaginal canals report to us that they have seen great benefit in practicing with just one of our large sized yoni eggs, and many women have also told us that doing the daily practices with one egg has helped increase their natural lubrication. So for you I would recommend just one of our large sized jade eggs. It is generally not recommended to practice with more than one egg. Please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any other questions!

          Much Love,

            Dear Shoshana,

Thank you so much for your continued thoughtful and compassionate responses. With every response you give, I am filled with a million more questions. My first question is especially relevant in these troubling times – can one contract the coronavirus from a shared yoni egg? Secondly, since I will be spending much more time at home from now on due to the widespread quarantines and subsequent layoffs at the landscaping company, I am seeking to make even better use of my yoni egg. So, for how long do you recommend I keep the egg in my back yoni? Also, are there any special eggs for the back yoni? How to differ from a front yoni? And thirdly, are you keeping safe and practicing social distancing during these times of trouble? I’d like to know that Gwyneth is taking good care of her essential personnel, otherwise my patronage of Yoni may be disrupted. Happy St. Patrick’s Day.

            Love,
            Ilana

          • yoni eggs

            Llana,

You have great questions! I am not a doctor, and cannot give medical advice, so I cannot speak to the likelihood of contracting anything with a shared egg. But I can say that we definitely recommend that you do not share your yoni egg with anyone else. This is a personal item used internally, and it’s best if it stays an item personal to you, something you don’t share, both for the hygienic and energetic cleanliness of your practice.

To answer your second question, the way to get the most benefit from the yoni egg practice is to do the specific exercises we recommend while in a private space, with focus and concentration. You can keep the egg in and go about your daily business, but women report to us that they see the best results when they are consciously focusing on the exercises. The exercises and all the information you need to get started can be found on our website here: http://www.yoniegg.com/guide

If you are going to keep the egg in for additional time when you are not doing the exercises, we recommend you do not leave it in for more than 8 hours, and then give yourself a break and also clean the egg before inserting it again.

Our eggs are not specific to different parts of the yoni, this is considered a holistic practice that engages both individual muscle groups of the pelvic floor but is also believed to connect you to your yoni as a whole and your body as a whole. I would recommend a jade egg to start out with, in whichever size calls to you. With this egg, you can work on building dexterity in all the areas of your yoni.

We are keeping safe! Thank you for checking. Happy St. Patrick’s day to you as well!

            Much Love,

            Shoshana

Hi I was wondering if the yoni egg can get stuck when wearing it internally?

    Reply
    • yoni eggs

      Hi Rosa,

Great question. The egg cannot travel past the cervix, because of this, I have never heard of a yoni egg getting permanently stuck. If you want to ensure that your egg is easily removable, I would recommend one of our drilled eggs. These eggs come with two small drill holes at the narrow end of the egg that you can string a piece of unwaxed, unscented dental floss through. When you insert the egg, the ends of the floss remain outside of the vagina, and when you are ready to remove the egg, you simply pull on the floss and the egg will come right out. We also offer undrilled eggs, which don’t have these holes, but most women find these eggs pretty easy to remove as well. You would relax, squat, and hook the egg with a lubricated finger, and the egg comes right out. Please let me know if there are any other questions I can help with!

      Hi Sienna,

Thank you for your question! Yes, you could absolutely practice pilates or yoga while wearing the yoni egg, however you will receive the most benefit from the yoni egg practice if you are focusing on the yoni egg exercises when you can be alone, relaxed, and really focus on your body and the practice.
